M.I.A

Things have been pretty busy around here not to mention one of our laptops finally saw it's days so we had to go out and invest in a new one. This typically annoyed me because I have soo many photos and files that I probably won't be able to recover anytime soon. My fault though for not making a backup cd ahead of time. I'm not complaining about the new though, I love it! I ordered a pink mouse and cute pink laptop case to match it. It's also for a good cause- half the proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research fund whom I support as much as I can. Aside from trying to find time to get a new computer, things have only begun to get more chaotic as the deployment date creeps closer and closer. :( I'm sad already and he hasn't even left. I know that I just have to keep myself busy but it's still not going to be easy. Thank goodness school takes up most of my time. Now for some fantastic news, I only have 3 more months of clinicals and I am done!! Whooo hooo!!! More exciting news, my hubby and I are off to HAWAII for R&R time in May :D We cannot freakin wait!!! There is definitely going to be a lot of traveling in our future. I am not quite sure when yet but we'll also be visiting my brother in law and his family in Aviano, Italy! Hopefully we've started a family by then and have a little Thompson of our own<3 I'm so excited to see what God has planned for our lives. Well, it's time to get settled in to watch the premiere of The Hills....

Stuck between a rock and a hard place...

My hubby and I love this couple to death but have recently found out that one has been unfaithful to their vows on numerous occasions with (his/her) ex. The significant other (S/0) has no idea that this has been happening. The (S/O) was told (he/she) has hung out with the ex but not to worry b/c they're just friends but reminded the (S/O) that (he/she) will always have feelings for and still loves the ex. So to cover up the truth, (He/she) told the (S/O) they just got married too quickly and (he/she) is confused. So the (S/O) has been convinced that (he/she) just wants some space away from each other, nothing else. The thing is,(he/she) has already chosen the ex, but found out (he/she) can't have the ex anymore. So now as a last resort kind of thing (he/she) is wanting to fix things with their (S/O) and pretend like no cheating ever happened. They're both two of our closest friends and we don't want to be to blame if their marriage fails after the truth is revealed. Because that's what would happen, for sure. So the question is, should we focus on the one who's been cheated on and risk/lose the other person's friendship? Or, do we not say anything to the one who's been cheated on and betray their trust but keep the cheater as a friend and act as if nothing has happened?? I am so confused as what the right thing would be because they both mean so much to us. Who do we stay a true friend to?? It's hard because I know either way one is going to get hurt...

Is it bad to eat?

We had Subway for lunch yesterday and well a toasted footlong is too much for little me to eat at once. I put the rest in the fridge ready to eat today and then I thought...if I put this in the microwave or oven it'll heat up the mayo, which isn't that supposed to be really bad to ingest due to it being a breeding ground for bacteria??? So, I'm sitting here hungry for my sandwich but questioning if I should go for it because I don't want to die from a food-borne illness. Well, I'm being really overdramatic but you know what I mean... uh I'm tired of worrying about it, into the trash it goes. I'm not going to chance it but I'd still like to know for future reference though to save me time and hunger haha

Curiosity got the best of him

OMG the funniest thing happened!!! We just came home from grocery shopping and I like to sort through the plastic bags and use the ones w/ no holes as trash liners for our small trash cans...anyway so the bags are in a pile on the kitchen floor.. here comes Kohl, curious kitty he is and starts playing with the plastic bags, running towards and jumping on them. He's having a ball..so I decided to let him play a little longer before I picked them all up. I go sit in the living room so my hubby can show me pics of the crotchrocket. All of a sudden we hear the sound of a plastic bag and all we see is a flash of white zoom passed us along with Kohl taking off frantically. On his way, he hits his head from under the coffee table, runs into the wall(poor baby) and we heard him hit the stairs trying go up them to hide under our bed. Jon and I looked at each other like wtf was that ??!?!! We just think he has the bag stuck in his claw or something. Meanwhile Kohl is upstairs hissing and meowing because he's really pissed the bag is still there. We can hear him wrestling with it. He started to sound pretty crazy up there so we didn't get close. He then scurries downstairs and hides in his litterbox. At this point we don't know what's going on but we're laughing our asses off. When we finally see what happened LOL!! We peek inside the litterbox and see poor little Kohl with his head caught through the handle of the bag...he was wearing the bag like it was a cape. He was like Superkitty dun da da duunn...It was so freaking hilarious, but not to him, he was terrified of the evil bag!!! Wish we could have caught that on video!!!!

Some food for thought

Great upcoming news for all you guys who aren't happy with the cell phone provider you have. Thanks to a Superior Court Judge in California who ruled that charging an early termination fee as illegal, you soon will no longer be charged to cancel your contract(so they claim.) Sprint was already ordered to give back $18.2 in reimbursements. Too bad I've never been a Sprint customer but I was with Nextel...and since sprint and nextel merged I wonder how that would work out for me?? I had to pay $250 to cancel.ugh! The down side of this proposal, the fees are pretty much critical to the carriers' business so when they heard the cell phone providers didn't take a liking to this ruling. Now, they're looking for a better way to classy up the term "termination fee" because this is how they intend to lock the customer up in their contract for years to come. Sneaky. I know. So if the whole "no cancellation fee" doesn't stick...there is still hope for at least lowering the cost of the termination fee as you get closer to end of your contract date. Lucky for me though I won't be cancelling with verizon anytime soon, it's an awesome network and I just got a new phone that I LOVE!!
